Market Entry campaign

This Midwest community bank enjoyed strong growth throughout its 100+ year history. However, it had maximized its potential in its legacy markets and needed to look for new ways to grow.

THE CONSULTATION
The Galapagos team utilized a unique and comprehensive methodology that incorporated industry-leading databases and relevant demographic, psychographic and firmographic data to review new markets for potential and fit. Galapagos identified multiple locations for consideration and consulted on different market growth models.

The bank decided on a specialized LPO approach that focused on Wealth Management, Commercial, and Mortgage, then took the necessary steps through acquisition, strategic talent hiring, and the development of a new professional services office to add this high-potential, higher-income market to the mix.

THE MARKET LAUNCH
Once the approach was finalized, Galapagos worked to create awareness and successfully position this bank’s highly-engaged, expert local team as a preferred option for Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business banking. Efforts included an integrated campaign that centered on the idea of Life’s Grand Adventure. Phase I efforts included:

  • Development of a “teaser” outdoor campaign with authentic images and messages related to Life’s Grand Adventure, designed to pique local interest.

  • Capturing true stories of clients and their Life’s Grand Adventure – dreams that came true with  the help of the bank team.

  • Creating a  microsite, featuring the clients and their stories, relevant product areas, and contact information for the team.

  • Digital advertising and other support to extend the reach of the campaign.

Galapagos masterfully captured the success stories of West Shore Bank clients and brought them to life for the market. They created the right message and delivered it in an integrated fashion. We are exceeding our goals, both in awareness and business, and are already discussing expansion plans within the market.
